Witch Summer Camp 2027

Workshop & Ritual Application

Do you dream of facilitating a workshop, a collective ritual, or a ceremony at Witch Summer Camp 2027?

As a facilitator, you’ll become part of the living magick of Witch Summer Camp - sharing your craft, guiding others, and co-creating transformation in a circle of witches from around the world. It’s a chance to deepen your own practice, explore your edges as a teacher and space-holder, and be inspired by the many ways others walk their paths. You’ll leave not only having shared your wisdom, but enriched, expanded, and woven into a wider web of modern witchcraft.

Witch Summer Camp is created for practicing witches who are already deeply engaged in their craft. We’re not an introductory camp, and workshops and rituals should reflect that level of experience - offering space to go deeper, explore further, and encounter something beyond the basics.

What we are dreaming about:

(But we’re totally open to hearing your ideas too! <3)

  • Drum journey (or similar) - we have access to a mystical, authentic burrow hidden in the woods where something like this would be magical AF. (1–2 hours max)

  • Initiation ritual / ceremony - something powerful and transformative to open the first night of camp and mark the crossing into our time together. (1–2 hours max)

  • Collective breathwork session - in the tipi, out in the woods, or somewhere else entirely? We’re open to ideas. (1–3 hours)

  • Dance / movement workshop - let’s get down and dirty, move some energy and shake some booty - in the tipi, in the woods, or…? (1–3 hours)

  • Song / voice workshop - we really loved screaming and howling like wild animals last year, so naturally, we want more of that! Voice, sound, song, noise, release… surprise us. (1–3 hours)

  • Something related to the “Witch Wound” - exploring shame, fear, inherited stories, persecution narratives, hiding our practices, taking up space as witches - and what it might mean to move beyond the wound rather than endlessly identifying with it. (1–3 hours)

Topics & themes:

Any topic or theme is welcome at this stage of the application. Since the camp takes place in a forest in Denmark, you might wish to weave the natural setting into your workshop - though this is, of course, completely optional.

We (the camp crew, participants from the first camp, and witches who answered our camp survey) have a particular interest in Danish, Scandinavian, British and broader Northern European witchcraft and occult traditions. But we’re equally curious about practices, traditions and perspectives from other parts of the world. So, almost anything goes, as long as it is respectful, engaging and thoughtfully shared.

We’re especially drawn to workshops that give us something to take with us beyond camp - new knowledge, skills, practices, techniques or perspectives that can continue to inspire and become part of our own practice afterwards.

When it comes to plant-based circles and ceremonies, we’d love to skip the cacao and explore what grows a little closer to home instead. Think local and Northern European plants, traditions and plant allies - or introduce us to something we haven’t encountered before.

(But! Since mugwort unintentionally became the unofficial plant ally of the 2026 camp, we’d love to meet some new plant allies in 2027.)

About Workshops:

(Find info about rituals & ceremonies below)

We’re looking for advanced workshops that challenge, deepen and expand participants’ understanding. That said, there’s absolutely room for entry-level experiences when the subject itself is rare, unusual or explores a niche corner of witchcraft or the occult.

Expect participants to already be familiar with common witchcraft and occult practices. They’ll come eager to go deeper, evolve their craft and explore new layers of magick, mystery and personal growth.

Please keep in mind:

Our participants are modern, practicing witches from around the world, with diverse backgrounds, paths and levels of experience. To support that diversity, please consider the following:

  • Depth and accessibility: Create an offering with substance and depth, while keeping it open enough for others to engage with meaningfully.

  • Ethics and safety: Avoid cultural appropriation and the use of closed practices unless you are a direct practitioner with the right and permission to share them. No animal or blood sacrifice, and no summoning of dangerous or harmful entities.

  • Inclusivity of belief: Participants will hold many different perspectives - Pagan, Wiccan, folk magick, chaos magick, animist, ceremonial and beyond. Please frame your work so others can learn from it without needing to share your cosmology, tradition or pantheon.

  • No proselytizing: Share from your path, not for conversion or persuasion. The goal is to exchange wisdom, not recruit followers or convince others that there is one true path.

  • Trauma awareness and consent: Deep magical and spiritual work can stir emotions. Participants should always have clear choices, know what they are consenting to, and feel able to step back when needed.

  • Holding space: You’ll be guiding witches with strong practices of their own, so grounding, clear boundaries and mutual respect are key. We expect facilitators to be experienced and confident space-holders. <3

  • Language: All workshops and rituals must be held in English so everyone can participate fully. You don’t need perfect or fluent English - clarity, presence and care in your communication matter much more.

  • Environment: Workshops can take place indoors in one of our large rooms, each with a fireplace and space for tables, chairs or floor seating, or outdoors in the forest and around the campsite. We also have a big cirrus tipi med floor and reindeer hides with capacity of 40 witches. The outdoor areas include natural clearings, uneven terrain and two bonfire sites. Please plan with the Danish weather, the landscape, and limited access to electricity and technology in mind.

  • Format and materials: Workshops are typically 2.5–3 hours, including a break, with around 25–30 participants. If your workshop requires special materials, tools or equipment, please tell us what you need. As a general rule, facilitators should expect to bring workshop-specific materials themselves, but we’re happy to help where we can.

There is no projector at camp - and we like it that way. We deliberately prefer a more analogue kind of teaching and sharing. If you need handouts, images, instructions or other printed material, please prepare and print these before arriving, as there is no printer at camp either.

We’re not asking anyone to “shrink to fit” - only to hold your magick in a way that invites others to explore and grow beside you. <3

About rituals & ceremonies:

Some evenings after sundown, we’ll gather for a shared ritual or ceremony - most often around the large amphitheater-style bonfire beneath the trees. These gatherings are meant to be immersive, communal, and memorable moments of shared magick. We also have a big cirrus tipi med floor and reindeer hides with capacity of 40 witches.

Rituals and ceremonies should be inclusive, participatory, and accessible to witches from diverse paths and traditions. While you’re welcome to draw on your personal spiritual framework, please avoid centering the work around specific deities, pantheons, or closed practices, so that all participants can engage fully. (So focus more on “the universe”, nature, ancestors, the camp tribe, etc instead of specific gods or goddesses.)

We’re seeking rituals that feel grand, aesthetic, and beautiful, while remaining grounded in authentic magical experience - ceremonies that bring people together, awaken awe, and embody transformation.

Each ritual should:

  • Last no longer than 1–2 hours (including everything)

  • Be designed for approximately 25-30 or more participants.

  • Be safe and suitable for an outdoor setting (around fire, on forest ground, etc.).

  • Actively involve the group - through movement, chant, offering, visualization, or collective spellwork.

Please keep in mind:

To support our community’s diversity and safety, please also keep in mind:

  • Depth and accessibility: Create an experience that invites everyone to participate meaningfully, regardless of background.

  • Ethics and safety: Avoid cultural appropriation or closed practices unless you are a direct, permitted practitioner. No animal or blood sacrifice, and no summoning of dangerous or uninvited entities.

  • Inclusivity of belief: Participants come from many traditions - Pagan, Wiccan, folk magick, chaos magick, animist, ceremonial, and beyond. Keep the focus on shared experience rather than personal doctrine.

  • No proselytizing: Share from your path, not for persuasion or conversion. Ritual is a space of shared magick, not ideology.

  • Trauma awareness and consent: Some participants may be sensitive to deep energetic work. Build in grounding, choice, and care.

  • Holding space: You’ll be guiding powerful, experienced practitioners - clear structure, grounding, and respect are essential.

  • Language: All rituals must be held in English to ensure full inclusion of international participants. Fluency isn’t required - sincerity and clarity are.

  • Environment: Be prepared for outdoor conditions - darkness, firelight, weather, and forest terrain.

We’re not asking you to dilute your magick, only to craft it in a way that invites everyone present to step into the circle with openness and wonder.<3

This is your chance to apply to become part of the 2nd annual Witch Summer Camp, created by Copenhagen Occult Club together with a magical tribe of witches from near and far.

Our first camp was a huge success, and in 2027 we want to make it even better, wilder and witchier. <3

Witch Summer Camp takes place at a large scout camp (Lerbjergscenteret) tucked away in the old, magical forest (Bidstrup Skovene), approximately one hour from Copenhagen. We have plenty of space to make magick: large indoor rooms with fireplaces, vast outdoor areas, forest clearings, bonfire sites and a big cirrus tipi, with floor and reindeer hides, with room for around 40 witches.

For five days, the camp becomes our little witch village in the woods - a place for learning, ritual, experimentation, connection, weirdness and shared magick.
