If you need special snacks or drinks, please bring them yourself, there are no shops near the camp.
It will be possible for the participants to keep some food/medicine items in the kitchens refrigerators if needed.
(Last year we had mandatory breakfast duty, we have decided to drop that this year and hope for volunteer helpers instead.)
Sleeping arrangements
Lerbjergcenteret is a large, well-equipped scout camp - and it is important to understand that it is, indeed, a SCOUT CAMP. (Check Lerbjergscenteret’s official website it’s in Danish but it has a cool drone video on the front page that show the whole camp ground)
This means:
sleeping is in dorm-style rooms
beds are bunk beds
each dorm has 8 beds (4 upper, 4 lower)
rooms will be shared by approximately 4 +/- participants / space holders
If you cannot sleep in a bunk bed, the following alternatives are available:
move your mattress and sleep on the floor in a common area
move your mattress and sleep in the large cirrus tipi tent outside
bring your own tent and sleep outside on the camp grounds
In the first two cases, your mattress must be returned to your assigned room before breakfast is finished.
Camping directly in the forest is not permitted in Denmark, but the camp area is large and offers plenty of space. Outdoor toilets are available.
(A washer and dryer are also available in the main building if needed)
Showers & Bathrooms
As this is a scout camp, bathroom facilities are shared.
four communal showers in shared bathrooms
one private shower located at the opposite end of the building (for the crew mainly)
All toilets and bathrooms will be cleaned daily.
Shuttle bus service Hvalsø Station <—> Camp
A bus will pick up participants at Hvalsø Station on June 16 at 09:30. A crew member will be waiting to greet you at the station. Please plan your arrival at the station with some buffer time for train delays etc.
The same bus will return participants to Hvalsø Station on June 20, at 10:00 with arrival around 10:30.
There will be only one bus each way.
If you miss it, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
Please let us know beforehand if you are NOT going on the bus.
Clarity Note
This camp is designed for participants who are comfortable with:
communal living
shared responsibility
simple conditions
flexibility
getting their hands (and feet) dirty and smell like bonfire
meeting the experience as it is
We believe that clear expectations create safety, happy campers & authentic magick. <3

THIS CAMP IS FOR WOMEN WITCHES.
For witches who were born women, and witches who became women and for witches who live their lives as women and who are comfortable sharing a bedroom with other women witches.
For witches who don’t mind sharing bathrooms, getting ready together, seeing each other in pyjamas, towels and morning hair.
For witches who don’t mind conversations about menstruation, childbirth, abortion, fertility, infertility, menopause, hormones, ageing bodies, sex and everything else that can come with living in a woman’s body.
For young witches, old witches and every witch somewhere in between.
For cis women. For trans women. For queer witches and straight witches.
For witches who are loud, quiet, strange, awkward, glamorous, hairy, soft, angry, funny, shy, sexual, asexual, maternal, childfree, married, single, divorced or none of anybody’s damn business.
For witches who are comfortable being in a space centred unapologetically around women and our experiences.
For witches who understand that we don’t all experience womanhood in the same way.
For witches who can be curious about each other without questioning each other’s right to be there.
For witches who can disagree without dehumanising each other and who respect boundaries, bodies, privacy and consent.
For witches who don’t need everyone in the room to look like them, live like them, love like them or practise witchcraft like them.
For witches who want to learn from other women, laugh with other women, eat with other women, sleep under the same roof as other women, make magick with other women and spend a few strange, beautiful days in the woods together.
Witch Summer Camp is a women-only space. <3
The shared framework of the camp includes:
